After Basketball: Part Two

Michael also created his own motorcycle racing team in 2004. In that business his team races Suzuki Superbikes. In 2006, Jordan bought a share of the Charlotte Bobcats and was the team’s managing member of basketball operations. Sadly after becoming the apart of the Bobcats organization he and his wife of 17 years had separated. They divorced in December of 2006 and had three children in the course of their marriage, Jeffery, Marcus, and Jasmine. His son Jeffrey Jordan was an upcoming college basketball player. Michael and his ex-wife talked to their son about possibly going into the NBA in the shadow of an NBA legend. “He wants to be a basketball player, but he wants to do it on his own terms…The thing that we have tried to tell Jeff is that you set your own expectations. By no means in this world can you ever live up someone else’s expectations of who you are” This is a quote from Michael Jordan during an appearance on the Today Show. (Biography.com) Jordan kept busy the next couple years by exercising and playing golf in celebrity charity tournaments, and promoting his Jordan brand clothing wear and shoes.  By 2010, the Bobcats were sold to Michael Jordan and he is now the official owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. Throughout Michael Jordan’s career he has won numerous awards for his outstanding performance he gave. His unbelievable skills he had and ability to lead a team with his scoring and leadership would definitely leave a mark on the NBA.
